Thesis Title: Pseudo-Dionysius and the [Theurgic?] Angelology of Pico della Mirandola
About
I'm an MA student working on Renaissance Magic. I'm interested in the original theologies that developed as Renaissance thinkers rediscovered and reinterpreted alchemy, magic, neoplatonism, kabbalah, etc. I'm working mostly with texts from the 16th century, focusing on "Christian Cabala" between Pico della Mirandola and Giordano Bruno. After I finish my MA my ambition is to finish working on a book about the influence of Pseudo-Dionysius on Pico, Reuchlin, Agrippa, and John Dee.
